“What if...? Conversation cycle #desdecasa”
Description / Objectives
The Covid-19 pandemic has created a scenario of exceptional uncertainty on a global scale. We are in uncharted territory, where technology has become our main ally given that it strengthens our sense of collective belonging and allows for fast, efficient communication. What’s more, it highlights the key role the digital transformation plays in our contemporary societies.
In this respect, civic-mindedness and collective consciences are being awakened, which are more sensitive towards the environment, more critical of our lifestyles, and more aware of how technology influences relationships between people, laying bare the need for a model shift not only in terms of the consumption of resources, but also regarding time and relationships.
And if...a change REALLY is possible?
At BIT Habitat we organised a series of virtual dialogues under the heading “And if…? The “#desdecasa” cycle of discussions, has made it possible for all of us to collectively rethink and reformulate digital scenarios from an objective, self-critical and positive perspective, both as regards the current situation and the new future that’s being shaped by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Between 14 and 23 April 2020four live dialogues on technology and the current health crisis were presented within the cycle. These discussions, in which experts in the subject took part, were moderated by Karma Peiró and followed by over four thousand people.
The live broadcast format also allowed the audience to ask questions and share their opinions in real time.
You can download the compilation book of all four dialogues here.
