Open Data Challenge

Description / Objectives

Calls for small and medium-sized businesses to meet the city’s challenges.

With the intention of making people aware of the information that is already at their fingertips, the City Council has launched citizen challenges to incentivise the economy, at small and medium scale, entrepreneurship and digital knowledge through initiatives with the World Data Viz Challenge 2018 Barcelona-Kobe or the Barcelona Open Data Challenge.

The city's challenges have requested social collaboration in solving them, by means of approaching data as a common asset.

The challenges have been identified jointly with relevant players from inside and outside the City Council, and data will be provided from various sources in order to promote the creation of economic initiatives based on the reasonable, democratic use of information.
