The 5G Catalunya project is to be developed with the collaboration of various organisations, such as Barcelona City Council, Mobile World Capital Barcelona, Fira de Barcelona, i2cat, Intel and the IESE business school.
Smart City. Hack the Hospital is an international hackathon which will bring together teams of professionals and patients from Barcelona and Boston.
Mobility and transport. The aims are to avoid breakdowns and maintain the equipment more efficiently.
Environment and sustainability. The pilot project will see an area of 50 square metres get solar energy generating paving to produce 7,560 kWh a year, equivalent to the consumption of three homes.
City Council. The project explores the economic and technological feasibility of reusing the corporate wi-fi system.
Smart City. The winning projects in the urban innovation grant call will get 500,000 euros.
The aim was to develop the concept of neutral operator from a city perspective and help to eliminate the current digital gap.
The European C-MobILE project is launching a mobility-assistance services pilot in Barcelona and its metropolitan area
The consortium led by Applus + IDIADA, RACC and Barcelona City Council's Mobility Department, with support from IMI, today presented its mobility-assistance services pilot, the C-Mobile Barcelona app.
COVID-19. The agreement with the CIDOB has been renewed and will focus its analysis on how post-Covid city models should be more sustainable and more digital.
The measure comes as part of the European project GrowSmarter, one of the ‘lighthouse’ projects for Smart Cities, funded by the EU’s Horizon 2020 innovation programme.
