The restaurant serves a variety of foods based on carefully prepared Mediterranean cuisine. Excellent pastries and cakes, including a delicious white chocolate croissant. Also you can enjoy a "vermut", chips and anchovies with an refresh drink.
The cafè and shop will open doors in the upcoming weeks.
Disseny Hub Barcelona’s café restaurant is built in a style that blends in with the rest of the building. Inside it features wooden fittings which contrast with the style of the metal-framed windows overlooking the lake. Extremely colourful and cosy, it was devised by designer Marcos Catalán.
The service is run by the S. Sauleda Group which has a long track record in the food services industry. The facility includes a shop selling all kinds of premium quality food products. The café bar and shop counter take the shape of a large bookcase that calls to mind the building’s façade and is also used to store products.
As for furniture, there is a large bracket-shaped bench with kilim tapestry by designer Nani Marquina which adds a cosy touch. The design is intended to make users feel at home, as if they were sitting on the carpet in their home. In addition to being somewhere to sit it is also designed to conjure up feelings. The café’s terrace gives onto the balcony of the Elisava Gardens lake which provides a view of the Disseny Hub Barcelona building.
The restaurant also serves a weekly set meal based on carefully prepared Mediterranean cuisine.
