Disseny Hub Barcelona’s management model set out in the framework agreement specifies the partners who are responsible for driving the activities and objectives of this public facility. These stakeholders are Barcelona City Council, ​​the Barcelona Design Centre (BCD) Foundation, Fostering Arts and Design (FAD), the Barcelona Design Museum and the El Clot - Josep Benet Library.

The operators make up Disseny Hub Barcelona’s working core. Their input constitutes an innovative form of shared management whose primary goals are management and governance based on efficiency and effectiveness standards, achieving the objective of turning Disseny Hub Barcelona into a world-class centre and putting in place these management models and enhancing them by evaluating the targets achieved.

Desde 1973 ha marcado la pauta en el ámbito empresarial e institucional para el desarrollo del diseño como base de la innovación que genera valor económico y social y ayuda a las empresas desde su concepción y puesta en marcha hasta su promoción e internacionalización.

FAD

Fostering Arts and Design

It is an association of professional and business associations in design. Founded in 1903, it is a leader in Europe in all areas of design. Promoting good design and architecture as tools for the progress of people is part of its foundational DNA.

The Design Museum

It is the museum of the arts of the object and design and brings together the collections of the Decorative Arts Museum, Textiles and Clothing Museum, Ceramics Museum and Graphic Arts Museum in Barcelona. It houses over 70,000 objects classified as decorative arts or applied arts ranging from the 4th century BC to the present day.

El Clot - Josep Benet Library

The library serves the Clot and Parc i la Llacuna del Poblenou neighbourhoods in the Sant Martí district and is part of Barcelona’s library network along with another 39 libraries. This service also attracts potential visitors to the wide range of activities carried out at Disseny Hub Barcelona.
