Architecture in the key of music

Organised by 48h Open House Barcelona, Music for Architecture offers proposals that relate architectural experiences with creative activities revolving around music. Its 4th edition will be held at the Design Hub Barcelona on May 14.

The programme consists of various activities that aim to explore the building and the Design Museum by way of music and architecture:

  • 17:35 – 18:20: A musical and architectural tour of the building; parameters for analysis: texture, connectivity and rhythm. With Júlia Marbà, the coordinator of 48h Open House Bcn and the violinist Paula Alonso.
  • 18:30 – 19:05: talk “Creation of a ‘Home Studio’: from room to musical studio: from private space to workspace open to the world.” with Roberto Orenes, music producer and specialist in acoustic conditioning.
  • 19:10 – 19:45: talk “Relationship between music and architecture.” With Núria Moliner, architect, musician and presenter of the programme Escala Humana on Spanish Television’s Channel 2.
  • 19:55 – 20:25: audiovisual concert TCR – IN DIAGONAL. With Datalash, with the collaboration of the dancer Anna Solà and the visual and plastic artist Eric Aoura Ott, with the design of the dancer’s stage clothes.
