The artistic and artisanal fabric, at the 28th edition of BCN Open Workshops
More than 150 workshops will participate in the next edition of BCN Open Workshops. The event, celebrating its 28th edition this year, will take place during the weekend of May 29 and 30. During these two days, the visitors will be able to discover the richness of the artistic and artisanal fabric through open access to workshops and creation spaces of Barcelona and L’Hospitalet de Llobregat.
BCN Open Workshops is one of the principal events that bring together plastic artists and professional artisans to display to the public spaces that are usually not visible. This year’s edition has involved more than 240 artists from very varied disciplines: jewellery, graphic design, glasswork, ceramics, engraving, painting, sculpture, scenography, perfumery, photography, drawing, textile crafts, fashion or framing, among others.
Apart from the two open days, the programme of BCN Open Workshops is complemented by parallel activities proposed by the participants themselves, such as demonstrations, creation workshops or guided visits. In total, there will be more than 100 proposals with the aim of involving the visitors and inviting them to participate in art, crafts and design.
