Businesses and young creatives go hand in hand with Designing Commerce

Designing Commerce, the Barcelona City Council initiative that seeks to boost local commerce by uniting design schools and commercial hubs, started last weekend with students from Elisava and businesses from the Sants-Les Corts shopping area.

Students of design, fashion, visual arts, architecture or audiovisual will work together with the commercial community of the city to develop proposals for the reactivation and promotion of neighborhood commerce. The Design Hub participates in the project together with Barcelona Activa and the Department of Commerce, Markets, Finance and Internal Regime, with the aim of promoting local commerce by creating synergies with young talents from the creative industries.

Over the next few months, it is intended to reach the commercial hubs of the ten districts of the city as well as the maximum number of design schools and agents of the creative industries, be it design, fashion, visual arts, architecture or audiovisuals.
