Design, trends and future

The Barcelona Design Week City Festival returns with a wide variety of activities revolving around design and creativity. One example is the Design Trends 22/23 conference to be held on October 19th, organised by Simon and Future-A and with Pepa Casado, the founder of the trend forecasting agency Future-A, and Paula Cabo, the founder of Calacreativestudio.

In this talk, Pepa Casado will describe the latest trends in design, as she explains: “Starting from the socio-cultural changes, we will analyse how the emerging needs are translated into design products and services that respond to society’s demands as consumers and users”.

Being aware of current trends provides a broader vision of the capacity of design to transform and improve people’s lives. “It is not just a matter of knowing the colours and finishes in vogue, but of understanding how design modifies the value, perception and function of the objects we relate with,” Casado adds.
