The FAD Awards add up to 63 editions

ARQUIN-FAD announces the 63rd edition of the FAD 2021 Awards. Created in 1958, it is the oldest award in Europe in the field of architecture and interior design, and one of the most prestigious in the Peninsula. The five categories of works that compose them are: Architecture, Interior Design, City and Landscape, Ephemeral Interventions, and Thought and Criticism.

For the first four categories, all those works completed during the year 2020 in the area of ​​the Peninsula and the Islands are eligible for the award. Regarding Thought and Criticism, the works must have been published - unpublished works will not be accepted - during 2020.

The FAD Awards were founded by the architect Oriol Bohigas, with the aim of promoting avant-garde trends and recognizing the quality of new paths and open investigations with respect to traditional languages. Proposals can be submitted until Wednesday, January 27. Check the conditions here.

In addition, the Laus Awards will be announced on January 25, and the Arts FAD will be convened again in March, after a one-year stop due to the Covid-19.
