Presenting the projects for the Sustainable Challenge '21

The Sustainable Challenge ’21 reaches its final stage this November. The projects of the 48 national and international students who have taken part in this year’s event will be presented to the public on 19 November.

The Cibernàrium auditorium (MediaTIC building) will be the setting to exhibit the various proposals that the different multidisciplinary teams have worked on in the field of fashion, with emphasis on industrial symbiosis and reuse of materials to favour a circular economy. Throughout the process, the selected groups have been guided by the curators of the Sustainable Challenge, Elizabeth Cardwell and Verónica Kuchinow, and mentored by the experts in sustainable fashion Salomé Areias, Celina Tamagnini, Mark Shayler, Francesc Sola, Tash Willcocks, Enric Carrera, Heura Ventura, Andrew Ibi, Carlos León and Gemma Cairney.

The event can be seen in person by reserving a place through this link or via streaming through the FAD YouTube channel.

The Sustainable Challenge ’21 is an initiative of MODA-FAD, together with the Design Manchester festival, the British Council,  Polimi in Milan and Nova Universidade in Lisbon and will continue until the beginning of 2022. From 30 November to 30 January, the projects will be exhibited at the Materials Pop Up space in the Glòries hall of the Disseny Hub Barcelona.
