The talent of Vocational Training students reaches companies

For another year running, the Disseny Hub will provide the venue for ‘24 h of Innovation Barcelona’. The event, organised by the Department of Education and CaixaBank Dualiza, will be held on 15 and 16 March.

The 24h of Innovation Barcelona event is an opportunity for Vocational Training students to put their ideas into practice, participating in the co-creation of innovative solutions to the challenges faced by large companies.

Throughout a 24-hour period, participants will first need to find out about the challenge proposed by participating companies, and then devise, prototype and present a solution following the Design Thinking methodology.

This year, both an in-person and an online format is offered to participants. In the in-person modality, participants will work for 24 hours in an allocated workspace in the Disseny Hub, which has been prepared for the event and contains all the material and tools necessary to make the prototype. In this modality, 24 multi-disciplinary working teams will be created to be matched to the 24 challenges set. In contrast, the School Hub modality will allow schools to participate from their own centre using the Zoom platform.

Once the 24 h of Innovation Barcelona event has ended, a jury formed by various experts in the sector will select the three best projects which will go through to the grand final.
