Conference held in the Palau Macaya on 7 November 2018, with a twofold objective

- Firstly, to present the results of the Gender Violence Survey (EVMC), and specifically the data on perceptions of gender violence in the city of Barcelona.

- Secondly, to present the research that assesses the effectiveness of the programme offering assistance to men who commit acts of gender violence against their intimate partner, run by the Barcelona Men's Care Service (SAH).

These presentations opened the debate on the role played by masculinities in achieving a society free from gender based violence. The results were used to analyse men's perceptions of gender-based violence and the challenges and limits of psychosocial intervention with men who commit such acts.
