The Department for Citizen Rights and Diversity offers citizen-assistance services through the Office for Non-Discrimination and Religious Affairs, as well as Coexistence Office.

Office for Non-Discrimination
The Office for Non-Discrimination is a mechanism for guaranteeing human rights at a local level aimed at attending discrimination-related human rights’ violations. The service is aimed at all citizens, but pays special attention to the discrimination people suffer due to sexual orientation and gender identity, origin, cultural and religious belonging, etc.

Religious Affairs Office
The Religious Affairs Office is a service that offers advice and aid for managing the daily issues of religious communities, training in the various religious beliefs, mediation in religion-related disputes and information on the spaces and services the city’s various religious faiths offer.

Coexistence Office
The Coexistence Office aims to ensure the preservation of the public space as a place of co-existence, where all people are at liberty to carry out their activities of free movement, leisure, meeting and recreation, with full respect for the dignity and rights of others and the plurality of diverse cultural, political, linguistic, and religious expression and the diverse ways of life in Barcelona.

Human Rights Resource Centre
The Human Rights Resource Centre aims to be a benchmark space for the city's residents, associations network and authorities working in the field of human rights and its guarantees, based on the principle of equality and non-discrimination.
