The Energy Observatory is the Barcelona Energy Agency unit responsible for monitoring the city’s energy situation. It currently gathers information on energy and issues an annual report, an energy balance sheet, as well as planning and monitoring short-term measures that need to be implemented in relation to energy in the city.

Given how important energy issues are becoming these days, it is of paramount importance to keep the city’s energy information up to date, so that the energy situation can be managed on a day-to-day basis and the general public can be provided with accurate up-to-date information.

For this reason, and to keep the city’s energy information up-to-date, an annual report is published with clearly presented easy-to-understand data on the city’s energy balance.
