VI Responsible Consumption and Social and Solidarity Economy Fair

This year’s VI Fair for Responsible Consumption and the Social and Solidarity Economy focuses on the eco-social transition, offering you the recipes you need to include specific healthy, sustainable and social justice habits and practices in your daily life. From 18 to 30 December, Plaça de Catalunya is the setting for the sixth edition of the Fair for Responsible Consumption and the Social and Solidarity Economy, organized by the City Council's Commissioner for Social Economy, Local Development and Food Policy of Barcelona.

You will find 32 booths with a wide range of crafts, clothes and other textile accessories, culture, books, packaged food, cosmetics, toys and other small gift products that will help you celebrate these holidays and prepare for the eco-social transition.

The fair is located in the outer crown of Plaça Catalunya, and is open from 11.00 to 20.30, except on Christmas Day and Sant Esteve, which will be closed. The opening day, Friday, December 18, begins at 4:00 p.m., and the closing day, December 30, closes at 6:00 p.m. For safety reasons, the capacity will be 30% this year.

 #WeHaveTheRecipe for Ecosocial Transition

This year, the Fair is transformed into a lab-kitchen where you can make the best recipes for the eco-social transition: up to forty entities and the Espai Consum Responsable will offer you practical advice to make your day to day more sustainable, ecologically and socially, from responsible consumption and ESS. In each booth, you will find the panels with the recipes and adopt the one that works best for you. Or create your own with the ingredients you like best. Together, we will build the recipes for the eco-social transition, from responsible consumption and ESS.

You will be able to find multiple recipes from different fields and sectors, with concrete ideas and specific steps that will help you make responsible consumption more sustainable, respectful of the environment and social justice. In addition, you will be helping to reactivate the city from the ESS and its projects, collaborating in strengthening a city, Barcelona, that situates the life and well-being of citizens at the center!

Be an activist - cook your own recipe! 

By visiting the Fair you can become activists for the transition to more responsible, sustainable consumption and ESS values!

How? Creating your own eco-social transition recipe and sharing it on social media (Twitter, Instagram and Facebook) with the hashtag #TenimLaReceptaCR. Identify your ingredients and cook your recipe by proposing ideas, practices and habits that help you consume more responsibly socially and ecologically. In your recipe, don't forget to tag the Fair organizations that inspired you!

Some of these participating recipes will be chosen and you will be able to receive a batch of products from the organizations participating in the Fair!
