On 20 February 2025, the councillor for the Sants-Montjuïc district, exercising the powers delegated by the Mayor’s Office on 17 June 2023, initially approved the terms and conditions for the 22nd edition of the Hostafrancs Festa Major Poster Competition in the Sants-Montjuïc district for 2025. 

In accordance with the provisions of Article 124.2 of Decree 179/1995, of 13 June, which approves the Regulation on Local Authority Works, Activities, and Services, the aforementioned specific terms and conditions are subject to public scrutiny for a period of twenty working days, starting the day after this notice is published, to allow interested parties to examine the document and, if applicable, submit any objections they deem appropriate. 

If no objections are submitted during the public scrutiny period, the terms and conditions will be deemed to be definitively approved.

The aim of this competition is to promote artistic creation and encourage the participation of professional and emerging artists, in order to achieve wide-ranging local participation and disseminate the Hostafrancs neighbourhood’s festa major, or main annual festival. 

The winning design will receive a prize and will be used on the poster and the printed programme, without prejudice to the use of other publicity materials.

Participation is open to both professionals and emerging artists of any age and background, though if the entrant is a minor, they must provide the details of a guardian, in addition to their own.

Submissions must be made online only. Specifically, entries must be emailed to premissantsmontjuic@bcn.cat. Include “CONCURS CARTELLS FM HOSTAFRANCS” in the email subject line. 

Participants may submit a maximum of three posters.

The submission period will be open from 5 May to 26 May 2025.

The results of the competition will be announced in September 2025.
