On 20 February 2025, the councillor for the Sants-Montjuïc district, exercising the powers delegated by the Mayor’s Office on 17 June 2023, initially APPROVED the specific terms and conditions for the 27th edition of the Poble-sec Festa Major Poster Competition in the Sants-Montjuïc district for the 2025 call. TO SUBJECT TO PUBLIC SCRUTINY the aforementioned specific terms and conditions, for a period of twenty working days, starting from the day after their publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona, on the City Council’s Official Notice Board, and with a reference in the Official Gazette of the Government of Catalonia, in accordance with Article 124.2 of Decree 179/1995, of 13 June, which approves the Regulations on Works, Activities and Services of Local Entities, so that interested parties may examine the document and, if applicable, submit any objections they deem appropriate; and TO CONSIDER the specific terms and conditions FINALLY APPROVED if the specified period elapses without any objections being submitted, in which case, TO ANNOUNCE the award through the publication of a notice in the Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona.

The aim of this competition is to promote artistic creation and encourage the participation of professional and emerging artists in order to achieve wide-ranging local participation and to spread the word about the Poble Sec neighbourhood’s festa major, or main annual festival. 

The winning design will receive a prize and will be used on the poster and the printed programme, notwithstanding the use of other advertising materials.

Participation is open to both professionals and emerging artists of any age and background; however, if the participant is a minor, they must provide the details of a guardian, in addition to their own.

Submissions must be made online only. Specifically, entries must be emailed to premissantsmontjuic@bcn.cat. Include ‘CONCURS CARTELLS FM POBLE-SEC’ in the email subject line. 

Participants may submit a maximum of three posters.

The submission period will open on 5 May and close on 26 May 2025.

The competition results will be announced in June 2025 at an event held in the courtyard of the El Sortidor Civic Centre.
