On 20 February 2025, the councillor for the Sants-Montjuïc district, exercising the powers delegated by the Mayor’s Office on 17 June 2023, agreed to initially APPROVE the specific terms and conditions for the 29th Sants Festa Major Poster Competition in the Sants-Montjuïc district for 2025; to SUBJECT the aforementioned specific terms and conditions TO PUBLIC SCRUTINY for a period of twenty working days, starting from the day after their publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona, on the City Council’s Official Notice Board, and in the Official Gazette of the Government of Catalonia, in accordance with Article 124.2 of Decree 179/1995, of 13 June, approving the Regulations on Local Authority Works, Activities and Services, so that interested parties may examine the file and, if necessary, submit any objections they deem appropriate; to GRANT FINAL APPROVAL to the specific terms and conditions if no objections are submitted within the specified period and, in such a case, to ANNOUNCE the award through the publication of a notice in the Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona.

The aim of this competition is to promote artistic creation and encourage the participation of professional and emerging artists, in order to achieve wide-ranging local participation and to spread the word about the Sants neighbourhood’s festa major, or main annual festival. 

The winning design will receive a prize and will be used on the poster and the printed programme, without prejudice to the use of other publicity materials.

Participation is open to both professionals and emerging artists of any age and background, though if the entrant is a minor, they must provide the details of a guardian, in addition to their own.

Submissions must be made online only. Specifically, entries must be emailed to premissantsmontjuic@bcn.cat. Include “CONCURS CARTELLS FM SANTS” in the email subject line. Participants may submit a maximum of three posters.

The results of the competition will be announced in June or July 2025.
