Barcelona Producció is an annual public competition awarding grants to members of Barcelona’s art scene for the development of artistic projects. Through a range of different formats – solo exhibitions, curatorial projects, research strands, publications, off-site projects and performances – its contents form the core of the programme at the Centre d’Art La Capella.

For the 2026 edition of the Barcelona Producció public competition, grants will be awarded for a total of 17 projects: eight exhibition-based and nine non-exhibition-based.

Barcelona Producció is aimed at Barcelona’s artistic community, including individuals over the age of 18 and collectives who share a creative project, provided they have designated a representative of legal age and identified the author or authors of the work. 

Each participating artist must demonstrate a connection with Barcelona, such as having studied there or developed their professional career in the city.

The project must be submitted using the form. Applications using any other format will not be accepted. It can be submitted in either Catalan or Spanish.

In the exceptional case where submissions are made in person, and notwithstanding Article 16 of Act 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Authorities, the documents may be submitted at any of the General Registry offices in the districts, municipal management offices or Citizen Help and Information Offices (OAC).
