Barcelona City Council

Through this call, the Institute of Culture aims to promote the undertaking of experimental and innovative projects, featuring citizens as the main focus of action, which explore new languages and methodologies in cultural activities and digital creativity. The call revolves around three themes:

• Type A: New media
• Type B: Virtual, augmented and mixed reality
• Type C: Technologies for learning

Natural persons registered to pay taxes in Spain can apply for these subsidies, as can legally constituted entities from the spheres of culture, creativity and innovation. Applicants must be professionals, companies, associations, coworking spaces, universities or public or private foundations.

Legal entities, under Article 14 of Law 39/2015, dated 1 October, on common administrative procedure for public authorities, will have to fill in and submit their applications through the Virtual Procedures Office found at the Barcelona City Council's e-headquarters. Natural persons, under Article 14.1 of Law 39/2015, dated 1 October, will be able to complete their applications either online, through the Virtual Procedures Office on the Barcelona City Council’s e-headquarters, or in person, by appointment at a Citizen Help and Information Office (OAC) or by appointment at the Citizen Office for Culture (OCCU).

The application period is from 22 June to 20 July 2022 (inclusive).
