There’s another chance to go on a Barnatresc walk around the neighbourhood of Sant Martí de Provençals on 10 and 11 April. The event is the first in the Barnatresc 2021 cycle of walks, with a new format to adapt to the current Covid-19 pandemic.
New format with two alternatives
The Barnatresc cycle of walks has been reinvented to offer two new alternatives, allowing walkers to carry on enjoying the activity while respecting the established safety measures.
One option offers signposted walks, which will take place at weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and only offer a route with the usual Barnatresc signage, with no start or finish checkpoints and no services. Walkers can do these walks as many times as they wish over the weekend. The first walk is around the neighbourhood of Sant Martí de Provençals, on 10 and 11 April, always subject to current regulations in relation to the pandemic.
The other option offers virtual walks, which coincide with the signposted walks and will be available for two weeks afterwards. While there are no signs for these versions of the walks, participants can follow the route using the mobile app Barnatresc Virtual. These walks count towards the lapel pins awarded in recognition of walkers’ loyalty over the course of the year. On this occasion, the same walk around Sant Martí de Provençals can be followed between 12 and 25 April.
