The registration process for the Barcelona Zurich Marathon 2024 is now closed, with 20,000 runners having signed up with two weeks still to go before the event on 10 March. The figure represents the third highest participation in the history of the event, just 385 short of the record set in 2016.
New route, more urban and with more monuments
The Barcelona Zurich Marathon 2024 comes with a new route, more urban and with more monuments, taking the runners past 15 iconic spots in the city such as the Sagrada Família, the Parc de la Ciutadella, Passeig de Gràcia and the Arc de Triomf.
The new route has been designed to be quicker and more attractive for runners, at the same time offering a unique experience for participants and spectators alike.
Details of the new route:
- Start: Passeig de Gràcia, between Gran Via and Plaça Catalunya
- Finish: Arc de Triomf
- Distance: 42.195 km
- Points of interest: Sagrada Família, Parc de la Ciutadella, Passeig de Gràcia, Arc de Triomf, etc.
