Open call for a circus residency at the Teatre de l'Ateneu for autumn 2019

Target Candidate
Circus companies and artists — resident in or beyond Catalonia —, who are developing a stage project and are currently entering the final phase of the creative process.
Residency Duration
The residency will take place between 21 and 25 October 2019. The resulting performance will be held on 26 and 27 October.

Residency Characteristics
From 21-25 October, a technical residency at the Ateneu theatre for the design and sound and lighting checks according to the project needs
Availability of Theatre
- Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 10am to 8pm
- Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am to 5pm
End Performances
Saturday 26 & Sunday 27 at 6pm
The selected company will have access to the theatre within the established times, while the timetable for technical aspects will be agreed between the company and the Ateneu team.

Project selection will be led by the Circus Committee at Ateneu Popular 9 Barris

Individuals interested in applying should send the following documentation to the Ateneu:
- Professional arts trajectory of the whole team and graphics
- A written account of the arts project to be develop during the residency, specifying its core ideas and a concrete description of the work needed in relation to the specific technical requirements
- Technical requirements (sound, lighting and rigging)
