Safety and prevention. The visit ended up at the Victim Support Service in Ciutat Vella, introduced at the district police station last month.

The delegation of 17 people, including six commissioners and seven inspectors on work placements, began their visit at the City Police Prefecture.

An inspector also attended, as did a technical advisor and the chief commissioners of a further two municipalities in the region.

The visit continued at the City Hall, where the group was received by the Third Deputy Mayor, Albert Batlle, and ended up at the Victim Support Service (SAV) in Ciutat Vella, on La Rambla.

The district police station introduced this service a month ago, aimed at victims of gender violence and their children and providing comprehensive priority support from specialised professionals. This new comprehensive support model makes the City Police one of the most specialised corps in providing a first line of assistance for victims.
