The aim of this initiative is designed to offer start-ups a place to meet with investment funds and facilitate networking between all those attending.
From 23 to 27 February will take place an entrepreneur-centred event resulting from the cancellation of the Mobile World Congress and the 4YFN. The main event is expected to attract over 2,500 people, with nearly 10,000 professionals involved in a programme with more than 50 activities.
The initiative is designed to offer start-ups a place to meet with investment funds and facilitate networking between all those attending, in line with what was planned for one of the most important weeks for digital technology. Tech Spirit Barcelona brings together various activities in the city, with a central part of its programme at the Casa Llotja de Mar (Barcelona Chamber of Commerce) and other venues.
Highlights include a conference on innovation and transformation by Ferran Adrià; a discussion with top entrepreneurial guru Jerome S. Engel; a presentation of deep tech project trends by companies developing products and services that combine with scientific advances and technological innovation, and the promotion of enterprise.
Also worth noting at the Tech Spirit is the participation of Spanish unicorns (start-ups that have become billion-dollar enterprises in very short spaces of time) and international investment funds.
These meetings are being organised by Barcelona Tech City, together with Barcelona City Council, the Government of Catalonia, Mobile World Capital Barcelona, the Zona Franca Consortium, Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, the Spanish government and other institutions from the start-up community.
