Venecia Flúor is a Barcelona band based on performative sound made up of artist Alba Rihe and composer Adrià Gil. With a long career behind them, they’re now presenting their EP Libre Albedrío at this year’s La Mercè.
This highly experimental Barcelona duo bring you a combination of natural sounds from the other side of the world, recorded in New Zealand, and sounds reminiscent of the queer scene in Berlin in the noughties.
Taking inspiration from Ernesto Demartino’s concept of progressive folklore developed in the 1950s, Venecia Flúor speak to us of the power of subaltern culture in a clear, direct language. Enjoy an incomparable show in the Estació del Nord park!
