Urban dance
Danser Casa , a project created in 2018 in this year's guest city, Casablanca, is back for La Mercè 2024. The Moroccan choreographers Kader Attou and Mourad Merzouki are back together twenty years later with the shared goal of publicising the talent of dancers from their country.
With its mesmerising soundtrack and eight dancers on stage, this work combines urban dance styles, such as popping, locking, parkour and new style house, with other disciplines, such as acrobatics and contemporary dance.
The work reflects on human complexities and contradictions through movement. A strong energy flows through this show, driven by an infectious and formidable passion for life that is conveyed to the audience and sparks intense emotion.
