The museum opens its doors to its permanent exhibitions (Universe Room, Flooded Forest, Antarctic Base, Geological Wall, Maths Lab) and its temporary exhibition Matemifasol.

Sala Univers [Universe Room]: Explore the permanent exhibition at CosmoCaixa and discover the cosmos and its evolution from the big bang through to the present. An interactive tour goes back to the creation of the cosmos, examining the evolution of species and delving into the inner recesses of the human brain.

Bosc Inundat [Flooded Forest]: Cross the Amazon jungle at the Museu de la Ciència CosmoCaixa. The Bosc Inundat offers the chance to delve into this ecosystem which is home to 50% of the planet’s biodiversity. In this thousand square-metre chunk of tropical jungle you can discover some of the most typical species from the Amazon: caymans, ants, boas, fish, tropical birds and plants.

Base Antàrtica [Antarctic Base]: We’re renewing the photos of our permanent exhibition. Come along and admire the new historical images of nature from the National Geographic archive. You’ll discover large-format photos of the biodiversity and images that document the expeditions from the golden age of polar exploitation in the Antarctic.

El Mur Geològic [Geological Wall] : This permanent museum space consists of seven large real pieces formed by different geological processes which have helped shape the structure of the planet.

Lab Math [Maths Lab]: This section offers games, puzzles, mazes, riddles and all sorts of challenges to engage your positive, logical and creative side. You’ll discover how maths can help solve a wide variety of problems, making them a way of approaching life!
