Public transport ticket prices are to remain unchanged for the third year running in an effort to help people cope with the current economic crisis. The Metropolitan Transport Authority has agreed to maintain the 20% discount for the T-Usual and T-Jove [youth card], in addition to the 30% discount from the state, so that these tickets will continue to be sold at half price throughout 2023. Tickets for single-parent families, large families and the unemployed will also have a 50% discount.
With the extension of these discounts, the prices of public transport tickets in 2023 will be as follows:
- Single-journey ticket within one zone: €2.40
- T-Casual within one zone: €11.35
- T-Usual within one zone: €20
- T-Jove: €40. This ticket is now for individuals up to 30 years old.
