Here is a brief summary of the services and activities available to you..

Since 13 March, following Barcelona City Council guidelines, the LGBTI Centre has been closed in order to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. Consequently, both the programme of activities and the individual, group and family assistance services have been suspended. Similarly, the resident entities and other associations that make use of the facilities have also cancelled their events, services and activities.

Closer than you think

Despite the temporary closure, the team from the LGBTI Centre are continuing to work from home. If you have any doubts, or a query of any kind, you can contact us by email at info@centrelgtbibcn.org.

What’s more, we are continuing to programme activities on social networks: talks, discussions, interviews, participative activities, etc. You will find more information in the news and activities sections of the website.

The entities are up and running

It’s not only the Centre that’s carrying on its activity remotely. Many entities are offering online activities and assistance and support services. We’ve prepared a brief summary for you here.

Municipal services have not stopped either

Barcelona City Council has put all the municipal information, measures to mitigate the effects of Covid-19 and support resources on the website “Barcelona des de casa”. Here you will find health tips, information on support and aid for citizens and resources for children, among other things.

Services for women have also been stepped up in order to respond to the potential surge in cases of gender violence resulting from the current lock down.

On the other hand, people who require urgent assistance related to cases of LGBTI-phobia should contact the Mossos d’Esquadra police force (incident reporting). The Office for Non-Discrimination, which remains closed, has set up two online assistance channels. You can also contact the Observatory Against Homophobia.

For any other social needs, there are nine social services centres on call and the Barcelona Emergencies and Social Emergencies Centre, which you can contact according to your needs.
