The exhibition will open on Wednesday 11 June, at 6 pm at Barcelona’s LGBTI Centre (Comte Borrell, 22)

On Wednesday 11 June, at 6 pm, Barcelona’s LGBTI Centre will open the exhibition ‘Agenda Kuir: Twelve Years Queering Time’, which offers a retrospective on twelve years of the periodical publication Agenda Kuir.

It is an exhibition of documents that illustrate a period of aesthetic experimentation carried out by movements, communities and activists characterised by their sexual dissidence, queerness and transfeminism, from both Latin America and Europe.

The display is structured around a selection of testimonial documents, including original copies of the twelve issues, archive images and some artistic journeys linked to Agenda Kuir in video or audio format.

This exhibition seeks to draw attention and pay tribute to the hundreds of collaborators – including activists, writers, visual artists and performance artists – whose voices have contributed to creating a specialised archive of critical thought and experimental aesthetics originating from the subaltern communities of sexual dissidence.

It is curated by Felipe Román and includes texts and images by contributors including val flores, Lucía Egaña, Daniasa Curbelo, PachaQueer, Quimera Rosa, Norma Mor, Ken Pollet, Sara Manubens, Tau Luna Acosta, Lyn Diniz, Nicolás Marín, Rurru Mipanochia, Organa Feminazi, Hija de Perra, Anastasia María Benavente, Andrés Valenzuela, Seba Calfuqueo, Felipe Rivas San Martín, Otto Etraud, Nadia Granados, Juvenal Barría, Lía La Novia Sirena and La Cerda Punk, among many others.
