The eighth Vermut Trans is to be held on Saturday, 12 July, from noon to 11 p.m. outside the Barcelona LGBTI Centre (Comte Borrell, 22), a day full of festivities, activism and trans pride.
The Vermut Trans is a space created by the community to celebrate trans, non-binary and dissident identities, and build a sense of community through pride, creativity and celebration. This vermouth gathering is not just a party: it is a celebration of trans life and resilience. It is a place to meet up, share, express ourselves and enjoy.
This year, the Vermut Trans will include performances by artists such as Dylan Aranda, Hugo Marlo and Gael Melero, with music spun by DJs DJ Nartet, Elektra Insogna and Digypop. Activities will be presented by La Tía Mame and Nessa Molina.
There will also be an art and creation space, food and bar. A purple and LGBTIQA+ point will also be set up, organised by the Observatory Against LGTBI-phobia, to ensure a safe space, free from sexist and LGBTI-phobic violence.
The activity will take place outdoors and is free to enter. Takings at the bar will go to trans community charities.
The Vermut Trans is intended as a safe, free space, open to all. Come and show you support, learn, connect and be part of a community that fights and loves without fear.
