Is Anyone Here Normal?

As a teacher and lecturer, Papanek shared his design philosophy with generations of students.

In addition to his own designs, the exhibition presents many of the works produced by students under his guidance. With social inclusion as the focus, these international student projects addressed the so-called  »minorities«, those underrepresented in, and routinely excluded from the design process such as children, women, people of the Global South, the elderly, or people with disabilities. This section also shows other historical works as well as contemporary projects that further develop Papanek’s ideas, carrying them into the twentyfirst century.
