Programme
Au Monde is a solo project by theorbo player Daniel Zapico that delves into the world of transcription, an essential practice for understanding the music of the 17th and 18th centuries due to its role in transmitting, transforming, and circulating all kinds of repertoire. Drawing from the Vaudry de Saizenay manuscript—the most significant French Baroque source for the instrument, featuring works by composers such as Lully, Couperin, and Robert de Visée—Zapico offers a personal contribution with a program that includes, as an extension of the original sources, a collection of his own transcriptions.
