Petri Kumela, one of the most acclaimed guitarists today, will perform an eclectic programme that brings into dialogue the works of Spanish and Finnish composers of the 20th and 21st centuries.
Starting with the music of Manuel de Falla and Robert Gerhard, both disciples of Felip Pedrell, and taking us up to the present day with the music of Mauricio Sotelo, Kalevi Aho and Lotta Wennäkoski, this concert reveals the richness of the guitar understood as a prism that draws from a wealth of sources and resources. Kumela will play some of the guitars in the Museu de la Música’s collection.
