An amendment to measures on religious ceremonies (Barcelona) was published in the DOGC today, Wednesday, 23 September, establishing, that places of worship will be allowed 50% congregational capacity. The decision comes into force today.
Point 2 of the decision published in the Official Journal of the Government of Catalonia (DOGC) establishes an amendment to Section 5 of Decision SLT/2228/2020, of 15 September. It stipulates the following:
“Religious ceremonies, including weddings, religious services, celebrations and funeral ceremonies must limit attendance to 50% capacity.”
All the other measures likewise remain in force, including:
- The ban on private and public meetings and get-togethers involving more than ten people.
- The ban on any consumption of food or drink in public-area gatherings involving up to ten people.
- The ban on the presence of any person at such meetings or get-togethers who has COVID-19 symptoms or who has to self-isolate or stay in quarantine for any reason.

The measure established in this decision remain in force until 12 midnight on 1 October 2020.
