Barcelona’s strategy for the EU’s Next Generation funds (NGEU) represents the city’s response to the crisis caused by Covid-19, as well as the opportunity proffered by the Recovery Plan for us to work to build a Europe for the future.

Barcelona is planning comprehensive change that will help the city become more resilient in the face of future crises, committing to the ecological and energy transition, digital transition and social cohesion.

Barcelona City Council’s response is being developed around seven strategic areas, to enable the city to continue to work to continue towards a resilient Barcelona that looks ahead to a sustainable future.

In combination with the payment of Minimum Income benefits, this action model aims to strengthen the socio-occupational inclusion of the 1,000 participants, emphasising stronger relational and community ties so that inclusion is not solely about access to the labour market and guaranteed incomes. The PSTDB also presents proposals to improve tourist mobility, proposes significant improvements in the efficient use of energy resources in various facilities, promotes the long-term sustainability of tourist activity and prioritises initiatives with high added value, which should help to differentiate Barcelona as a unique destination. It also includes proposals to establish Barcelona as a highly digitalised destination. Monitoring and management software for recharging vehicles in the City of Barcelona

In 2019, B:SM introduced a customised system for managing its network of Endolla e-vehicle recharging points, because at that time there were no existing tools that met their operational needs. Since then, the e-mobility sector has experienced major growth in terms of the number of points, users, recharging operations, functions, etc. This situation has led to the saturation of the current software and an increase in costs, making B:SM's customised solution increasingly expensive and complex.

For these reasons, it is planned to develop a new, more standardised central system that enables the management and monitoring of B:SM's recharging points to be improved. This new tool must be integrated with existing recharging points, the SMOU application and the Business Central (BC) invoicer. In the future, it will also be integrated with car park energy management solutions to enable smart recharging.

One of the project's main aims is to explain the significance of CITES and its international function regarding endangered species. Through informative activities, the aim is to clearly and concisely explain the purpose and scope of the CITES Agreement for protecting endangered species worldwide, highlighting its importance in biodiversity conservation.
It also aims to provide information about the function of CITES centres in adopting animals, their care and well-being, and raising awareness among visitors. Lastly, the idea is to facilitate the adoption of pets from public rescue centres.
