Barcelona City Council periodically organises or takes part in national and European conferences at which different stakeholders pool their experiences and reflections on the evolution of everyday time and the keys to future progress in reconciling working, family and personal time and the organisation of time in our cities.
The International Association for Research in the Use of Time (IATUR) will hold the 43rd World Conference in Barcelona from 27 to 29 October, as part of the Time Use Week events.

On 27 February 2020, the Conference: Conciliation Measures took place within the framework of the Barcelona Responsible Companies Program, organized by Barcelona Activa in the Auditorium of the Technology Park on Marie Curie Street in Barcelona.

Under the motto "Time for everyone, a right for everyone!" the French association Tempo Territorial organized on 7 and 8 November "Les Temporelles", a conference to share experiences on the management of the use of time in different countries 'Europe.

Carme Carrera, a time program technician at Barcelona City Council, took part in the Symposium, explaining the good practices of Barcelona City Council to achieve a healthier, more egalitarian and efficient organization of time.

Program of Time and Caring Economy has invited Christian Felber to present his economic model that aims to focus economic growth in developing ways that affect society and regulated in a holistic manner.
On the 7 and 8 of July the Program of Time and Caring Economy shared on 5th Week of the Social Responsibility in Catalonia, with the presence of a stand in the Fair RSC in the Cultural Center Born and with the organization of the Dialogue "Balancing work and family life: Cost or investment?, celebrated in the Archive da the Crown of Aragó.

The conference prehave to explore new organizations of the work in moments of crisis, it counted with the witnesses of Manuel Ortigao, Eurofound director of research that goes to present the study of the work and innovation. The videos of the interventions are available with the presentations of the speakers and links to web sites of the Gaes, Barcelona Forum District, Great Place to Work and participant ABD on the round table that closed the day.
On July 11 took place in the city of Barcelona the conference "The time for the elderly" by Mr. Ignacio Buqueras i Blanch, President of the National Commission for the Rationalization of Spanish Times, the topic of the event was the use of time after retirement. Irma Rognoni, Councillor for Family, Children, Time Use, and Disability and Mrs. Assumpció Roset, Commissioner Mayor's Office for Older People of Barcelona, opened the event framed in the celebrations the European Year of Active Ageing and solidarity between Generations 2012.

This symposium will tall take place within the framework of face-to-face conferences held by the New Social Uses of Time (NUST) Companies Network. Its aim is to highlight the role played by ICTs as tools for establishing a position in the virtual market and for publicising new models of professional and business relationships in this area.
