Time for families caring for people with disabilities

The main objective of this project is to offer personal time to those who have someone in their immediate environment, in order to prevent situations of stress and claudication in the care of people with dependency and thus improve their quality of life.

The pilot program was launched in October 2011 at the Can Felipa Civic Center, in collaboration with the Pueblo Nuevo Social Services Center. One day a week, for several hours, activities are organized appropriate to the different degrees of dependency, while caregivers can enjoy their time or participate in support groups. At the moment the service is present in different districts of the city and is managed by the Department of Older, of the Area of Social Rights.

Depending on the socio-economic situation of the family, users of the service may enjoy a 50% reduction or exemption from payment.
