In a ceremony held on Monday 14th July in the Palau de la Generalitat, Álvaro Porro, the new Commissioner for Social Economy, Local Development and Consumption of the Barcelona City Council signed, together with representatives of 109 organizations and the Government of the Generalitat , The Pact for Time Reform, a pact that is the result of three and a half years of expert work and the agreement of all actors involved in different fields such as trade, administration, work, health, culture or The education.
With the signing of the Pact for Time Reform, the Government of the Generalitat and the signatory organizations have committed themselves to assuming Objective 2025, which has to bring us, from July 17 thand in the coming years, to Indicators of health, organizations, public services, education, culture and leisure, trade and consumption and mobility.
The letter of commitments to objective 2025, which is included in the Pact for Time Reform, includes, among others, the following purposes: to recover the two hours of jet lag in relation to the subtraction of the world, to promote a new culture of time In organizations in favor of more efficient and more flexible models to meet the new social needs and to consolidate the time factor as a new measure of freedom, equity and welfare.
Taking as its starting point the Institutional Declaration in favor of the initiative for the Reform of Time, presented at the plenary of the Municipal Council on July 22, 2016, and after having participated in various spaces that have had as objective the recent Pact for Time Reform, the Barcelona City Council has been working since 15 th March on the construction of a new Barcelona Time Pact which takes the Time Reform as one of its main references. This work is carried out with the agreement and cooperation of the Impact of the Time Pact Group, a body made up of fifteen organizations of different nature and different fields of action.
