Awards for three innovative and creative sustainable tourism initiatives

Sustainable tourism. The FuTurisme awards recognise the projects Disvoize, Caram Caram and Emotion History.

The FuTurisme awards recognise the best sustainable tourism initiatives, with the fifth edition identifying three winning projects. Each one will receive 10,000 euros, an incubation space at Barcelona Activa and mentoring.

Award for the most innovative idea: Disvoize

Disvoize is an innovative tech project offering digital sound solutions for immersive experiences for events and guided tours. The project improves communication between guides and the public, allowing for live audio to be played. It also seeks to become a support tool for cultural and sustainable tourism, for uncrowded tourist routes and activities, through the development of data and the elimination of plastics.

Award for achieving the SDGs in the 2030 Agenda: Caram Caram

Caram Caram presents a new model of tourism based on wine and food and unique experiences. The project works to reveal Catalonia’s gastronomic gems, its workspaces and little-known places. The project is about disconnecting and connecting with the present and the values of sustainability and recycling.

Award for contributing to the recovery of tourism post-Covid: Emotion History

Emotion History is a cultural tourism agency organising travel which promotes the unique and immersive character of historical cases, private collections and singular spaces. One of its goals is the protection of heritage. In addition, the agency is committed to sustainability and social responsibility, in line with the Biosphere and Safe Travels seals.

The three winning initiatives participate in the programme with the same name, FuTurisme, which provides support with the acquisition of enterprising skills, training and entrepreneurial experiences, as well as a sectoral network for the various projects. Over the various editions, the programme has so far provided support for 96 projects of this type.

The awards are an initiative by Barcelona Activa, Barcelona Provincial Council, the Barcelona Hotel Guild and the Association of Specialist Travel Agencies (ACAVe).
