Let's decide Barcelona, technology at the service of participation - for children and adolescents
In 2020, various actions were taken to incorporate the participation of children aged 8 to 13 into the Decidim.Barcelona platform with full safety guarantees, in compliance with legislation on personal data privacy and the digital rights of minors.
The aim of the measure is to promote the right of children and adolescents to participate in city decisions.
In February 2024, the participatory process ‘We Want to Decide!’ was launched, aimed at boys and girls aged 8 to 17 in the city of Barcelona. The process included educational workshops in schools, sports facilities, and leisure centres on the right of children and adolescents to participate.
