Training pill on AI and business productivity

The Time Agreement and The Nust Business Network of Barcelona City Council have launched a new training pill entitled ‘AI and Productivity. Transforming the future of business to address the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the productivity of organisations.

This practical and theoretical session, which will take place online on the 25th of March, will explore through concrete examples and accessible tools how AI can automate recurring tasks, improve processes and optimize the use of time in work environments, helping organizations to make a quantum leap in the efficient use of resources and time.

Lecture by Roger Galdón, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of the companies Soolvers and Interficie Internet Services.

Date: 25 March, from 10 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

Programme

1. Introduction. The Power of AI in the Modern Age (10 minutes): 

  • Introduction to AI: The characteristics of AI will be defined, and its relevance today will be contextualized.
  • Brief analysis of the current impact of AI on business productivity. The main benefits in terms of increased work efficiency will be highlighted.
  • Invitation to participants to reflect on their use of time in routine tasks.
     

2. Fundamentals. How AI improves productivity (20 minutes):

  • Definition of the concept of ‘productivity’ in a business context.
  • Definition of the pillars of AI applicable to improving business productivity: task automation, data analysis and personalization and process optimization.
     

3. Practical applications of AI in day-to-day business (30 minutes): 

  • How AI can help with specific tasks in various business domains (operations, human resources, marketing and sales and finance).
  • Participants will be invited to reflect on the potential of AI through the resolution of a short case study.
     

4. AI tools within everyone's reach (25 minutes):

  • AI tools that companies can easily incorporate and apply in everyday tasks (writing and editing, task management, data analysis, etc.) will be presented, and a practical demonstration will be given.
     

5. Challenges and how to overcome them (15 minutes):

  • The barriers that tend to arise when applying AI in work environments (initial costs, resistance to change, lack of training, etc.) will be analysed, and practical solutions will be offered to overcome them.
     

6. The future of productivity with AI and Action Plan (15 minutes):

  • Introduction to emerging AI trends.
  • Definition of the key steps to start introducing AI in the workplace.
     

7. Conclusions and closing (15 minutes):
 

  • Invitation to participants to exchange doubts on the topics discussed during the training.
