Festival Píndoles 2024

The tenth edition of the festival has established itself as the benchmark event for short theater in Catalonia.

The Píndoles Festival will celebrate its tenth edition on June 7th and 8th and will once again fill the most unique corners of Montjuïc Castle with short theater during that weekend.

After 10 years, Píndoles maintains its essence: programming theater plays and pieces from other disciplines with a duration of 15 minutes. And doing it in unique, unconventional spaces as stages, and for small groups. A showcase of the best short theater in Catalonia with a wide range of short-duration works, reduced capacity, and stages in lively and emblematic spaces.

Throughout the two days of the festival, up to 12 shows from different disciplines aimed at adult audiences can be seen: eight premieres, which are part of the festival's creation support program, three plays premiered in previous editions, and a guest piece from the 15m2 Festival.

As every year, the programming of this edition has been created through an open and anonymous call aimed at giving visibility to new talents and promoting equal opportunities. In this edition, the specialized commission in charge of evaluating the proposals has selected eight unpublished pieces of text theater, dance, and multidisciplinary works that will be seen for the first time on stage during the festival. This year's proposals have been written, directed, or performed by: Irene Hernanz, Aida Picón, Uri Callau, Martí Costa, Emili Corral, Ariadna Grau, Francisca Mujica, and the company La Confiança Teatre.

This year, the guest piece of the 15m2 Festival is Doma, a solo that revolves around the analysis of the trauma that a heteropatriarchal society generates in women. The choreographer and performer, Andrea El Ameri, starts from autobiography to question and rebel against the powers exerted over her body. This will be the third consecutive year that this collaboration between Píndoles and the Cultural Association La Última Vértebra, which manages the 15m2 Festival, takes place. In addition, three plays premiered in other editions of the festival will also be part of the programming: Hem perdut la flama by Martí Gallén Muñoz, RIP (Rest in Pis) by Sílvia Navarro, and Rodeo Road by David Bo.

Throughout the weekend, there will be a gastronomic space that will be set with DJ BeMa's music. On all days, with the price of a single ticket, access will be granted to all the shows of that day. This year, the ticket at the box office will cost €15 and the advance ticket €12. For members of the Carnet Jove and TRESC, the ticket price will be €10.
