CUS, Salut, Consum i Alimentació (CUS, Health, Consumption and Food) is a non-profit consumer association founded in 1977 as a result of users’ lack of protection in the public healthcare system. It was legalised in 1979. In 1982, the fields of consumer affairs, food and food security were added as cross-cutting health-related core areas. However, health and healthcare services still form the core of its activities.

Its aim is to defend and protect users and consumers by providing advice and mediation, and handling claims in disputes with companies that provide products and services. It also channels complaints, reports of incidents and requests for arbitration in consumer matters.
