Special operation for the Feria de Abril
The City Police will be running a special operation until the Feria de Abril ends on 5 May, with enforcement measures stepped up to control conduct that may hamper the usual use of public space, clamping down on unauthorised vending driving and riding that may pose a risk to others.
The general goal is to ensure the Feria de Abril, which is being held in the Parc del Fòrum in the district of Sant Martí, goes ahead smoothly with full guarantees on safety, mobility and respect for others, taking care of public space as a place for coexistence.
Dynamic surveillance will also be in place to prevent sexual violence in and around the fair, and more specifically around the recommended routes. A purple point will be operating on site, working for prevention and providing support relating to sexist violence and LGBTI-phobia. If necessary, staff at the information point can activate the security protocol against sexual violence in leisure environments of this type.
Disruptions to mobility
From 3 pm on Friday, 26 April, until Sunday, 5 May (all day), parking will be prohibited in Av. Eduard Maristany, on the Telefònica ramp. Where there are large crowds of people, there may be traffic restrictions in the section of Av. Litoral between Josep Pla and the service slip lane of Fòrum Neus Bouza Gil. Depending on traffic, one or more of the exits on Ronda Litoral may also be closed.
The area for people with functional diversity to get on and off transport will be located between Plaça de Llevant and C/ Josep Pla. This same section will also have a provisional stop for coaches.
Extra services will be provided on the metro, particularly on the L4, as well as the regular bus lines serving the area around the Fòrum, during festival hours and especially over the weekend and on public holidays. The Trambesòs T4 service will also be passing more often, with special safety measures at nearby stations. People are recommended to use the metro to get to and from the fair.
