A summit to rethink the tourism of the future

Tourism. The Future of Tourism World Summit is being held at the Llotja de Mar on 26 and 27 October.

The Future of World Tourism Summit brings professionals and institutions from around the globe together in Barcelona on 26 and 27 October, to reflect on the challenges of the future.

The summit is aimed at finding short-term and mid-term solutions which help towards the recovery of the tourist sector following the socio-economic and health crisis caused by Covid-19. The meeting features debates, interviews, talks and lectures, and will be based around seven topics covering the most important points for the sector. These include cultural identities, sustainability, smart destinations and the personalisation of the customer experience.

The Future of Tourism World Summit is being organised by the Fundació INCYDE, representing Spanish Chambers of Commerce, and the Advanced Leadership Foundation, with the collaboration of Barcelona Provincial Council, Barcelona City Council and the Barcelona Zona Franca Consortium. International organisations participating in the event include the World Tourism Organisation (WTO), the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank and the European Commission, as well as major companies and experts of global renown.
