It was the first hospitality establishment in Europe to have 90% of its staff made up of workers with disabilities.

Located in Collserola, very close to Barcelona, the InOut Hostel celebrated its 20th anniversary on Friday, along with an official opening attended by the Archbishop of Barcelona, Joan Josep Omella; the Spanish Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu; the Catalan Government Minister for Social Rights, Carles Campuzano; and the Deputy Mayor of Barcelona City Council, Maria Eugènia Gay.

Accompanied by nearly 400 people, the workers at the centre celebrated with colleagues, family, and friends, highlighting their professionalism and hard work.

The INOUT Hostel is a Special Employment Centre for hospitality and catering, opened in 2004 by Icaria Iniciativas Sociales, a non-profit organisation. It was the first hospitality establishment in Europe to have 90% of its staff made up of workers with disabilities.  It offers its guests a wide range of services: accommodation, a restaurant that is open to the public, meeting rooms, a swimming pool, a carpark and team building and volunteering activities for companies.

​Additionally, it is a Biosphere-certified establishment, reflecting its commitment to sustainable tourism.
