Transport. The red and blue routes operated by the Bus Turístic will be back in service from next month.
The blue and red routes operated by the Bus Turístic offer guided tours around some parts of the city following the halt caused by the pandemic.
The classic red and blue routes offered by the Bus Turístic service are to offer their daily itineraries around some of the most notable spots in the city. The open-top buses will be circulating from 9 am to 7 pm, at intervals of between 20 and 30 minutes. As with all other types of public transport, the use of face masks will be obligatory.
Tickets can be purchased for one or two days and are now on sale on the website and the usual sales points. The audio-guide system is available in sixteen languages. Each vehicle will have a staff member on board to provide information and assist users.
The two established routes, the red and the blue, can be combined at they share interchange stops in Plaça de Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia. Stops on the red route also include the Parc de la Ciutadella, Av. Diagonal, Montjuïc and Port Vell, while the blue route includes stops at the Sagrada Família, the Camp Nou, Tibidabo, Gràcia and Pedralbes.
The Barcelona Bus Turístic has been operating since 1987 and has always adopted a ‘hop on hop off’ system, enabling passengers to spend as long as they wish at each stop and get back on to resume the itinerary when it suits them.
